Rani Sharabati PALESTINIAN, b. 1998
“Stones simmer, a silent eruption ensues. New apartments signify a human congestion, mirroring a psychological stagnation and a languishment of will. A towering edifice, breaths gasping within descending elevators of loftiness. As if the higher you ascend, the more you descend, devoid of meaning. As if every time you touch a foundation in a non-place, in a non-time, you broaden and elevate. The volcano, a suggestive spirit, disgorges its sickly fire.”
By poet Ali Abu Ajamiya.
