Overview

Nadia Osi (b. 1970, Iraq) was born and raised in Baghdad and currently lives in London. Her art stems from memories and captures the spirit of Iraq, portraying rich and expressive scenes set in old streets, cafes, and daily life.

Nadia Osi is a cultural narrator of Iraq's golden age, especially the Baghdadi experience of the mid-20th century. Her art refuses to let these memories fade. Her paintings are visual poems that resonate with many Iraqis and Arabs in the diaspora who connect emotionally with the daily life she intimately captures. She continues her legacy of letting the beauty of the time and place stained by conflict be seen through her art through collectors worldwide.
